Melanie McMullin

Melanie McMullin (b.1970) is a mixed media artist and workshop facilitator based in Massachusetts. She is the founder of Clarity Through Collage and creator of Nothing is Wasted, projects that transform scraps of paper and botanical debris into catalysts for gathering, dialogue, and connection.

Her workshops invite participants to discover themselves and one another through creative reuse, guided curriculum, and communal play. Melanie has facilitated gatherings in private homes, public centers, retreats, camps, and schools, always with the intention of creating spaces where art becomes a bridge for clarity and transformation.

Her practice extends beyond workshops into immersive, room-sized assemblages that layer collage, poetry, and vibrant drawings of women’s faces. These installations embody her belief that discarded materials hold potential for beauty, meaning, and shared story.

Melanie’s work is rooted in inclusivity, community building, and the conviction that nothing is wasted—every fragment can be transformed into connection. She welcomes collaboration and dialogue, inviting others to join her in creating art that is both personal and communal.
